A piece of Kansas State football's 2029 schedule was unveiled on Tuesday, Aug. 4, when Sam Houston announced it would travel to Bill Snyder Family Stadium for a matchup with the Wildcats on Sept. 15, 2029 .
It's the second game on the docket for Kansas State's 2029 schedule, which features a trip to Washington State on Sept. 8.
The matchup between K-State and Sam Houston will be the first between the two. Sam Houston is newer to the FBS ranks after making the jump from the FCS in 2023. It is a member of Conference USA and is heading into its second season under Phil Longo, who went 2-10 in his debut.
Sam Houston has one bowl appearance in its two seasons of eligibility after developing into an FCS powerhouse under current Houston coach Willie Fritz. The Bearkats won the FCS national title during the 2021 pandemic-impacted spring season.
Kansas State has at least one non-conference game scheduled in each season through 2032.
