According to a report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg , Real Madrid might have finally given up on its dream transfer of Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise:
🚨❌ As exclusively reported and confirmed again today by FC Bayern with Christoph Freund: Michael Olise is staying as things stand.
No negotiations. No offer from Real Madrid, following Florentino Pérez’s promise to Bayern not to pursue Olise this summer. No transfer request has been submitted by either Olise or his agent yet.
Real Madrid are now 100% focused on Yan Diomande. Negotiations with RB Leipzig are ongoing tonight as Real push for a quick agreement. They are currently in pole position ahead of PSG, as revealed earlier tonight.
Internally at Bayern, the whole thing around Michael Olise has been described as ‘purely a media topic’. Neither Real Madrid have even contacted Bayern to express their interest, nor did Olise express any desire to leave through his agents. The topic kept going in the media because the notoriously reserved Olise has never publicly commented on it. The Frenchman is expected back with the team after the Asia tour. He will certainly play for Bayern in the coming season
The far more important question is whether Olise will extend his contract at FC Bayern beyond 2029. The club is planning to make him at the top of the salary hierarchy alongside Kane and Musiala. The answer to that will provide the crucial clue as to whether he sees his long-term future in Munich, since he would have two years left on his current contract next summer.
In the end, Real Madrid might eventually get Olise, but it will not be this summer.
