St. Joseph-Ogden football, led by Oregon commit, setting high bar in 2026

ST. JOSEPH, Ill. (WCIA) - St. Joseph-Ogden football wasn't far from the 3A crown in 2025.

The Spartans lost to Unity by seven in the state semifinals. Unity proceeded to lost by just six, to Byron, in the state championship.

SJO graduated some key pieces, including quarterback Kodey McKinney. His brother, Lane McKinney, will assume the starting role.
