See the full story · 1 sourcesCLEVELAND — The Guardians ' flurry of activity just before the trade deadline hit continued with the acquisition of Cincinnati Reds first baseman Nathaniel Lowe.
On the deadline's final day, the Guardians also dealt for Angels outfielder Jo Adell and, only a few minutes before acquiring Lowe, traded for Nationals All-Star left-handed pitcher Foster Griffin .
Over the weekend, the Guardians dealt catcher Bo Naylor and pitcher Codi Heuer to the Brewers for reliever Craig Yoho and outfielder Blake Perkins.
The Guardians-Reds deal For Lowe was first reported by ESPN . The Griffin and Lowe deals both occurred within the final half hour before the deadline passed.

Lowe, this season , is hitting .266 with an .820 OPS with 12 home runs, 17 doubles and 37 RBIs in 83 games played. He owns a career .264 average with a .347 on-base percentage and a .775 OPS.
Kyle Manzardo had an opportunity to take hold of the first base job in Cleveland but hasn’t put together the kind of season for which they had hoped, which opened the door to the Guardians acquiring yet another left-handed hitter, and a first baseman at that.
Manzardo is hitting just .215 with a .684 OPS, 13 home runs and 39 RBIs.
