See the full story · 1 sourcesCarly Rae Jepsen has shared her ABBA-inspired new song "Don't Leave Me on the Dance Floor," the latest single off her upcoming double album Day and Night .
The track — the first offering from the "Night" half of the 24-track album —was written by Jepsen and producers CJ Baran and Arthur Besnainou after the singer experienced the ABBA Voyage show in London.
"I'd just been recording in Sweden and then traveled to London to see ABBA Voyage," Jepsen said in a statement. "I came home with a mission of making my own ABBA-esque pop song – something with a perfect pop melody, but with some updated production. I wanted a hook that made you feel like you had to participate and sing along."
