With all of the moves the Los Angeles Dodgers have made over the past few seasons, it's important to remember that a lot of their players haven't been healthy when it matters most.
The Dodgers, even if we look at the regular season this year, have been derailed by injuries a good bit. It's unfortunate that Los Angeles is going through this, but as many know, it won't get a lot of sympathy from fans around the league.
Regardless, left-hander Blake Snell has been banged up for a lot of the campaign, and some have been frustrated about him not returning and helping his team. However, according to the latest report, there's an expectation that his next start will be with the Dodgers.
“More updates, per Dave Roberts: -While Blake Snell didn’t get into the 5th inning last night, he did enough that his next start should be for the Dodgers. -Once Tyler Glasnow makes two more rehab starts and builds up to 4 innings, there’ll be a conversation about activating him,” Sonja Chen wrote .
Getting Snell back, especially if he's throwing the baseball at the level everybody knows he can, would be a ridiculous addition at this stage of the year for Los Angeles.
The hope here is that Snell would be able to come in and be lights out for the next two to three months, pairing him with some of the other best pitchers in baseball after landing Tarik Skubal. However, his injury history is definitely one to be concerned with, so that's something to factor in here.
