— alex brasky (@alexbrasky) August 1, 2026 The Bears signed Gardner-Johnson in the middle of last season after Kyler Gordon went down with an injury, and he served in that nickel role for the defense. While he was cut from two different teams earlier in 2025, Gardner-Johnson made an impact in Chicago. In his first two games, he totaled three sacks and he added two interceptions and a forced fumble through the rest of the season.
Gardner-Johnson signed a one-year deal worth $6 million with the Bills this offseason.
