The Arizona Cardinals are ahead of all other franchises in the NFL except the Carolina Panthers in terms of where they are at in their training camp process.
Having extra days in camp and having played a preseason game, some are calling it the best Hall of Fame Game ever, they already have more information on their roster than almost all other teams.
So, what could that 53-man roster look like?
Let’s take a guess.
Quarterback (3)
Jacoby Brissett
Gardner Minshew
Carson Beck
Not a surprise, but could be a position to watch if the rookie continues to play well.
Running Back (4)
Tyler Allgeier
Jeremiyah Love
James Conner
Bam Knight
Trey Benson has been MIA and injured almost all of camp. I cannot see him making the roster right now.
Wide Receiver (6)
Marvin Harrison Jr.
Michael Wilson
Kendrick Bourne
Devin Duvernay
Reggie Virgil
Ihmir Smith-Marsette
I think this comes down to Ihmir Smith-Marsette, Simi Fehoko and Jalen Brooks, who has looked really good in camp, but doesn’t offer the same experience as the first two. The one hold up on Smith-Marsette is he missed Thursday with an injury, so that could open the door.
Tight End (3)
Trey McBride
Elijah Higgins
Tip Reiman
Offensive Line (9)
Paris Johnson Jr.
Isaac Seumalo
Hjlate Froholdt
Isaiah Adams
Elijah Wilkinson
The starting five seems like it will at least begin the 2026 season this way.
Chase Bisontis
Josh Fryar
Jayden Williams
Jon Gaines
Gaines is the backup center… From there it seems like the three best offensive lineman left.
Defensive Line (6)
Walter Nolen
Darius Robinson
Roy Lopez
L.J. Collier
Dante Stills
Andrew Billings
This could be a decent group. Development and health matter so much.
Edge (4)
Josh Sweat
Zaven Collins
Baron Browning
Jordan Burch
I think Eku Leota and Cameron Robertson both have a shot but after this last week, I think it is time to move on from BJ Ojulari who looks like his legs are gone. This will be waiver claim area to watch after the initial 53-man roster is filled out.
Inside Linebacker (5)
Mack Wilson
Cody Simon
Jack Gibbens
Owen Pappoe
Karson Sharar
This one could come down to Pappoe and Sharar, but I think that they both make the initial.
Cornerback (6)
Will Johnson Jr.
Max Melton
Denzel Burke
Sean Murphy-Bunting
Elijah Jones
Garrett Williams
The Williams situation is one to watch. If he starts on PUP, he still takes a roster spot, so who gets bumped?
Safety (4)
Budda Baker
Andrew Wingard
Dadrion Taylor-Demerson
Kitan Crawford
Always interesting how injuries clear things up.
Specials (3)
Chad Ryland (K)
Blake Gillikin (P)
Casey Kreiter (LS)
Nothing surprising here.
