When speaking with media members after Friday's practice, Brown compared Gonzalez to two greats at the cornerback position.
"As far as like the top of the guys, I've took my losses, and I've earned my wins, with Chris Harris Jr. and Jalen Ramsey,” Brown told reporters. “…Just stacking those guys up there, obviously yes, I believe [Gonzalez] is up there.”
Ramsey, now with the Pittsburgh Steelers, is a three-time All-Pro honoree. He is one of the best cornerbacks to play this side of the new millennium. His physical style of play and instincts in being able to prevent receptions has distinguished him at the position.
Harris Jr. was dominant throughout his 12 years playing in the NFL. He was named to three All-Pro teams in his career, and helped the Denver Broncos win the Super Bowl at the end of the 2015 season.

Brown has already seen Gonzalez's capabilities up close and personal while being matched up with the star cover corner in practice throughout training camp. The tensions between the two have escalated on more than one occasion, but the hope is that competition leads to two dangerous playmakers that other teams have to account for on the field.
