Tennessee football landed its first commitment in the 2028 class in quarterback Kaden Craft, a four-star prospect from North Carolina .
Craft announced his decision on Aug. 17, picking the Vols over Ole Miss , Michigan, and Florida.
"I'd like to thank my parents for leading me here today," Craft said during a ceremony at his high school. "I'd like to thank my coaches, teammates, friends. With that all being said, for the next three to four years I'll be taking my talents to the University of Tennessee ."

— Rivals (@Rivals) August 17, 2026 The 6-foot-4, 205-pound Craft is ranked by the 247Sports Composite as the eighth-best quarterback in the class of 2028 and the No. 107 prospect overall. He plays for Lake Norman High School in Mooresville, North Carolina, and is ranked as the No. 4 player in his home state.
As a sophomore in 2025, Craft threw for 1,739 yards with 17 touchdowns and four interceptions. He is a dual-threat quarterback, also rushing 120 times for 387 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also plays basketball and runs track, where he has top marks of 11.36 seconds in the 100 meters and 22.96 in the 200 meters.
