Despite their resounding 29-13 victory, it appears Seattle is still being undersold, at least a little. Recently, NFL Spin Zone released their power rankings for the 2026 season and the Seahawks were snubbed from the top spot. Naturally, that went to... you guessed it... the Los Angeles Rams. Once again, the rest of the NFL landscape is obsessed with what the Rams are doing. However, instead of Seattle being overlooked by the Niners, the Seahawks were placed in the No. 3 spot on the rankings behind the Denver Broncos .
The argument in favor of the Broncos from NFL Spin Zone relates to the health of quarterback Bo Nix, with the claim being had he not suffered a broken ankle in the Divisional Round they would have advanced to Super Bowl LX. Considering Denver only lost 10-7 at home in the blizzard that was the AFC Championship game, the argument does hold some merit. That being said, I do not believe the Broncos defense is truly on the same level as Seattle's, and Nix at his best is not as good as Sam Darnold.
NFL Spin Zone has the Seahawks as "low" as No. 3 due to losing some key players in free agency, and the absence of Klint Kubiak as offensive coordinator could lead to a bit of a Super Bowl hangover. Granted, those are valid reasons, and being No. 3 is hardly the end of the world. The frustration comes from the perpetual overlooking of the Seahawks in favor of the Rams... a team Seattle beat twice last year, and was a 60+ yard field goal away from completing the 3-0 sweep. Los Angeles is a quality team, but the Seahawks ultimately and convincingly proved they were their superiors.
