He rejuvenated a premier franchise in the NFL, the Chicago Bears . Now in Year 3, his team is looked at as a contender, and he is viewed as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.
In a recent article , Vincent Parise highlighted analyst Colin Cowherd's recent bold claim about Caleb Williams. Here is what he had to say:
"Most lists would have Allen and Mahomes as the top two, in either order. However, having Williams right behind them is a legitimate amount of respect. It might be too early to have him ahead of Burrow and Stafford, but that's the way Colin feels about it right now.
"He made two plays in the playoffs last year, one against Green Bay and one against the Rams, that broke football physics," Cowherd said. "It was early Mahomes. They just didn't make any sense."
It is safe to say that the Bears would not take many quarterbacks over Caleb Williams, just as Colin Cowherd's statement. Caleb Williams' talent and what he can be give him a ceiling that will be just as good as the two consensus best quarterbacks in the league. It was just one season of success for Caleb Williams, but the excitement surrounding him will automatically place him in conversations that may be deemed too early for him. What a great start to a career for the young former Trojan.
