Doncic is coming off a fantastic, MVP-caliber season that was cut short on April 2 when he suffered a hamstring strain. But he seems motivated for the coming season, and he recently said he's "very excited" to start the new campaign.
Per Dave McMenamin of ESPN, the superstar will be holding a four-day minicamp for the team in August, and it won't just be about preparing for the new NBA season.
Luka Doncic is hosting the entire Los Angeles Lakers roster in Slovenia for a four-day minicamp in August, a source close to the Lakers told ESPN. The itinerary will include workouts, golf and some Ljubljana tourism and bonding ahead of training camp.

Los Angeles replaced them with Walker Kessler, Quentin Grimes, Collin Sexton, Sandro Mamukelashvili, Kevon Looney, Ziaire Williams, Matisse Thybulle and rookie Cameron Carr. Therefore, it will be advantageous for the team to get in some work together before training camp officially starts.
L.A. may not be done making roster moves. It is still reportedly interested in acquiring forward Jonathan Kuminga, and it is also looking to add one more backup center behind Kessler.
