Head coach Aaron Glenn said Stiggers was “able to talk” and “conscious” while speaking to reporters after camp on Tuesday
New York Jets cornerback Qwan’tez Stiggers was transported in an ambulance following a scary scene at the team’s training camp.
According to ESPN’s Rich Cimini , practice was “stopped for several minutes” during the Jets’ joint training camp with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at the Atlantic Health Training Facility in Florham Park, N.J., on Tuesday, Aug. 11 after Stiggers, 24, was injured.
Cimini’s initial report said he couldn’t “see which player” was injured but an “ambulance is on the scene” when practice was paused on Tuesday. Jets head coach Aaron Glenn later confirmed to Cimini that Stiggers “passed out” on the sideline before an ambulance transported him to the hospital.

Stiggers’ teammates “gathered around” and appeared “deeply concerned” about the cornerback, who was “being carried off on a stretcher with an IV,” Cimini reported .
Defensive lineman Harrison Phillips reportedly said the “early word” on Stiggers’ condition is “positive and encouraging,” according to Cimini, and Phillips shared that the “entire team said a prayer for Stiggers when it gathered on the field at the end of practice.”
After practice, Glenn spoke to reporters and said he plans to visit Stiggers after camp concludes on Tuesday. “From what I know, he came to the sideline after a play and he actually fell out,” Glenn said.
“The good thing is he was conscious and our guys did a hell of a job,” the Jets coach continued, noting that “most medical staffs around this league do [a hell of a job] in situations like that.”

Stiggers was “able to talk,” Glenn said, adding, “I wanna make sure that I go and see him after this just to make sure I’m good with everything, but for the most part, he was good.”
