The exciting winger joins from Brazilian side Palmeiras and has signed a five-year contract that will take him through to the summer of 2031.
He follows in the footsteps of Elliot Anderson, Jeremy Monga, Gerónimo Rulli and Ayyoub Bouaddi in linking up with Enzo Maresca’s first team squad.
The 22-year-old plays predominantly as a right winger but can also play in midfield or as a second striker and has even featured at full-back for the Brazilian League leaders.
Allan is the latest star to make the move from Palmeiras to Europe and follows defender Vitor Reis, who made the same switch to the Etihad in January 2025 – as did Gabriel Jesus back in 2017.
With the flair and skill generally associated with Brazilian attackers, he is excited about joining up with Enzo Maresca’s squad.

“This is a surreal moment for me,” Allan said.
“Manchester City, with everything they have won over the past 15 years, are one of the most attractive clubs in the world for players. To be able to sit here today and say I have joined them is the proudest moment of my life.
“I love Palmeiras and always will – but the decision to come to City was an easy one. I want to be the best footballer I can be and the conversations I’ve had with the people at City so far has convinced me there isn’t a better place for me to fulfil my ambitions.
“I want to promise the Manchester City fans I will give absolutely everything to make the most of this opportunity.
“Now the hard work begins. I will give 100% in training and make the best case possible to the manager I should be playing.
“My intention is to help City continue winning trophies. If I can do that, it would be a dream come true.”

From the surfing paradise of Florianopolis in southern Brazil, Pablo Allan Andrade Elias, to give him his full name, followed the nation’s passion for football.
He started playing futsal at the age of seven for Clube 12 de Agosto before earning a spot at his local Club Figueirense as a 14-year-old.
Playing at a competition in the historic gold-mining town of Minas Gerais, Brazilian giants Palmeiras thought they had unearthed something equally precious.
Allan moved to Sao Paulo on his own and was handed the iconic number 10 shirt.
After 17 goals and four assists for the under-20s, he gradually forced his way into the first team before becoming a regular for the ‘Verdao’.
A debut came in the 2-0 win over Portuguesa followed by a first goal against Mirassol – the winner in a 3-2 victory.
His biggest impact came in the Copa Libertadores last season when he was instrumental in overturning a three-goal deficit against LDU Quito.
After losing the first leg 3-0 in Ecuador, Palmeiras pulled off a stunning 4-0 win with Allan setting up the opener for Ramon Sosa before being fouled in the dying minutes for the match-winning penalty.
This season, he established himself in the first team helping Palmeiras to the top of Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and the quarter-finals of the Copa do Brasil and the Copa Libertadores.
His flexibility and attitude have made a highly-regarded player across South America and Europe with City winning the race for his signature.
