Missouri won a national championship this season without even playing a down. The United States Senate passed a resolution introduced by a Missouri senator claiming that the 1960 Tiger team won the national title – it finished fifth in the final AP poll; bowl games weren’t a part of the rankings then – and there will soon be celebrations. Arkansas-Pine Bluff started the season with an easy 35-15 win over Morehouse College, and now it’s collecting a paycheck to allow Mizzou to tune-up for the season.

Why Arkansas-Pine Bluff Will Win
Having a game under its belt should help a wee bit. The passing game was solid against Morehouse, with Garrison Davis throwing for 182 yards and two touchdowns. Demetric Whitlock caught five passes for 160 yards and three scores, and now he’s going against a revamped Tiger secondary loaded with players from the portal.
Why Missouri Will Win
There won’t be any pass rush to worry about from the Golden Lions. There might have been plays behind the line against Morehouse, but those aren’t happening this week against a Missouri offensive front that should bash away at will. Star back Ahmad Hardy is still recovering from a gunshot wound suffered while attending a concert in May. For now, the ground game is in great hands with Jamal Roberts and Houston Christian transfer Xai’Shaun Edwards about to run wild.
Missouri vs Arkansas-Pine Bluff Prediction, Betting Lines
There’s plenty of turnover on the Tigers, and this is the game to get everything up and going. Ole Miss transfer quarterback Austin Simmons will have a nice day, and the running game will be great, in what should be a fun exhibition for the attack.
