See the full story · 1 sourcesCLEVELAND (WKBN) – The Cleveland Guardians promoted highly-touted prospect Angel Genao to the Major League roster on Wednesday.
To make room on the active roster, infielder Gabriel Arias was designated for assignment.
Genao is rated as Cleveland’s No. 2 overall prospect and the No. 39 overall prospect in all of baseball, according to MLB.com.
The standout infielder has split the 2026 season between Double-A Akron and Triple-A Columbus.
In 71 games at Triple-A, Genao is batting .308 with 8 home runs, 17 doubles, 39 RBI’s with 9 stolen bases.
