An Alabama high school football team is making waves nationally after finally capturing a win on the gridiron after a decade-long wait.
Even the worst college football or NFL teams still find ways to grab wins every season. However, Columbia High School in Alabama has been waiting for a victory since 2015.
The Columbia Eagles suffered 101 straight losses as a high school program, which marked the longest losing streak in the nation. Alabama football is rich in tradition with top players going on to elite football programs across the SEC and other elite conferences.
However, the victory for Columbia’s team is special after the long wait for a positive result.

Professional football fans have to go back decades to find another remotely close to what the Alabama high school football team’s endured. The Chicago Cardinals boast the longest losing streak in NFL history at 29 games.
That rare feat came all the way back in the 1940s. Meanwhile, college football isn’t much different with Northwestern’s 34-game winless run nearly 44 years ago.
