WASHINGTON – US President Donald Trump made more than 1,000 securities trades in June, including significant purchases of Berkshire Hathaway Inc, Visa Inc, Mastercard Inc and Cintas Corp, according to a financial disclosure published on Aug 22.
The transactions totalled between US$78.1 million (S$99.15 million) and US$263.1 million in the filing published by the US Office of Government Ethics, which shows a range for each transaction rather than exact numbers.
The largest transaction was a June 22 sale of between US$5 million and US$25 million of shares in a Vanguard Group Inc exchange-traded fund.
Other transactions included buying between US$1,001 and US$15,000 of software giant Palantir on June 3, before selling between US$15,001 and US$50,000 on June 16 and between US$500,000 and US$1 million on June 18.
He then bought shares on June 23 and June 24 after the US and Iran agreed to a peace deal on June 14.
He also bought between US$1 million and US$5 million of Berkshire Hathaway on June 18 and then sold a smaller amount on June 24.
He sold between US$1 million and US$5 million of Meta on June 18 and later in the month bought smaller amounts.
Other companies among the transactions include Coinbase, Visa and Home Depot.
Trump made more than 21,000 securities trades in 2025, often in bursts tied to market events he created.
The total value of the trades he made in 2025 was between US$600 million and US$1.86 billion, occasionally showing buying and selling of the same security on the same day.
The White House says there are no conflicts of interest because Trump’s investments are independently managed.
