On the latter front, Netflix announced a quartet of actors joining the cast for the show's third season , Battle of Alabasta . With the Straw Hats headed to Vivi's home kingdom, that means we'll meet her and her father's friends: Emilio Sakraya ( Those About to Die ) will portray her childhood buddy Koza, and Omid Abtahi ( The Mandalorian ) will play his father Toto. Jamie Ward ( Invisible Boys ) and Nabeel Khan ( Strike Back ) will play Pell and Chaka, two of the kingdom's royal guards. Expect the new season sometime in 2027.

As for the anime, Toei announced two new One Piece films , with the first expected to land in summer 2027. That'd be God Valley, an adaptation of the extended flashback arc set during the anime's current "Elbaph" saga. Winding the clock back about 40 years, the film will cover a large scale genocide that took place at the titular island, which involved key figures like Garp and Roger.
Then in 2029, Toei will release Baad Film, whose plot details are currently under wraps. Both movies will celebrate One Piece's manga turning 30 next year, and the anime's 30th in 2029. We don't know yet what else is planned for either milestone, but between these and Netflix's other remake hitting next year, it's safe to safe to say One Piece fans won't be left wanting as the 2020s wind down.
