The LA Clippers made him the fifth overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, and the rookie guard enters his first season with expectations that usually come with that kind of draft position. Wagler arrived after a standout freshman season at Illinois, where he helped lead the program on a deep tournament run that ended at the Final Four. That kind of stage matters for young players.
