— Vanderbilt Men's Basketball (@VandyMBB) July 27, 2026 Nesmith was a 5-star recruit in the 2027 class per 247Sports, but as a member of the 2026 class, the 247Sports Composite rated him as a 4-star recruit and the No. 36 player in the class. He is known as an exceptional scorer and shooter, but he comes with defensive questions because of his size, which is listed as 6-5 and 180 pounds.
With Nesmith signing, Vanderbilt has a full slate of 15 players for the 2026-27 season.
Nesmith, who played for Overtime Elite in Atlanta and is originally from Monteverde, Florida, is the cousin of former Commodore and current Indiana Pacers player Aaron Nesmith.
Nesmith will join a roster that includes First Team All-SEC point guard Tyler Tanner as well as a number of notable transfers such as Bangot Dak, Ace Glass and Sebastian Williams-Adams.
