Flowers and Jackson trained together in Florida throughout the offseason, completing early-morning football workouts before adding boxing sessions for extra conditioning. That experience gave Jackson a close look at the work Flowers invested before reporting for training camp.
“It’s like night and day with him,” Jackson said on “The Lounge” podcast. “All he knows is grind. Five in the morning, work. Five in the morning, work, like seven days out the week almost.”
Flowers established career highs with 86 receptions and 1,211 receiving yards in 2025. He also scored five touchdowns and earned his second consecutive Pro Bowl selection despite Baltimore’s offensive inconsistency.
Jackson expects the production to continue climbing.
“This year, I feel like he will have a monstrous year,” Jackson said. “Hopefully a record-breaking year because, like I said, the work ethic. I’m going to speak on that all the time.”
Flowers occasionally had to pull Jackson into the early schedule. The quarterback said his preferred offseason workout time was closer to 9 a.m., but Flowers would begin calling several hours earlier.
“He pushed me to wake up at 5 in the morning,” Jackson said. “He probably called me like seven times, like 4 or 5 in the morning.”
Flowers will enter the season as Baltimore’s unquestioned No. 1 receiver. Rashod Bateman provides an established option opposite him, but the rest of the position group includes several young players competing for roles.
“He’s different,” Jackson said. “His work ethic is extremely out of this world. That’s why he’s the type of player he is.”
That construction could create another significant target total for Flowers as he continues developing his timing with Jackson in Declan Doyle’s new offense. Jackson praised Flowers’ intelligence, but he repeatedly returned to the receiver’s willingness to work when explaining his confidence.
