EFL Cup games today: Schedule and where to watch Carabao Cup
Premier League teams join England's Carabao Cup tournament for the second round with 17 matches on Tuesday, Aug. 25 followed by Tottenham in action on Wednesday and Chelsea on Thursday.
The top-tier teams entering the competition this round are the 11 not participating in European competitions. The Premier League's other nine clubs enter the draw for the third round, with those matches set to be played in September.
Manchester City is the defending champion, defeating Arsenal in last year's final at Wembley Stadium in London. It was the seventh time in 12 years that City won the tournament, also known through the years as the League Cup and Carling Cup, among another sponsored names.
