On Tuesday, the Jacksonville Jaguars placed cornerback Dane Jackson on the reserve/retired list. The 29-year-old spent one of his six pro seasons as a member of the Panthers.
That lone campaign came back in 2024, when he signed a two-year pact worth up to $14.5 million to join Carolina. But Jackson would only last through the first year of that deal, starting in three of his nine outings while totaling 23 combined and two passes defensed.
Following his release from the Panthers in February of 2025, Jackson returned to the Buffalo Bills—who brought him into the league as a seventh-round pick in 2020. He made 28 starts in 55 games in five seasons for the Bills—amassing 155 tackles, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
