OutKick founder Clay Travis has again called for the Las Vegas Aces, the defending WNBA champions, to play a boys’ high school basketball team—and this time around, he’ll pay the winners $10 million.
“Important announcement: I am upping my offer, $10 million dollars for a head-to-head basketball game between the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces and a boy’s [sic] high school state title team of my choice,” Travis wrote on X Monday. “If the Aces beat my team, I will give them $10 million.”

He later added, “If the boys win, I will give them $10 million to distribute as they see fit to their team members. Game on pay-per-view with all profits donated to Tunnel 2 Towers to provide mortgage-free homes to families of deceased soldiers, police & first responders.”
The sum would be “the most money ever paid to win a single basketball game.”
Back in 2023, Travis offered $1 million to the Aces, who also won back-to-back championships in 2022 and 2023. “A good, state championship caliber, high school boys team would smoke the best team in the WNBA,” he said during an episode of OutKick the Show.
Aces guard Chelsea Gray responded to the story on X and wrote simply, “Dumbass.”
Travis’ 2023 call also prompted a response from former NBA player Patrick Beverley . He said on an Overtime podcast , “ I don’t give a f*ck what he say. They are way more physical than man. I literally went through the Minnesota Lynx while I was chasing Aerial Powers through screens and like… they hit you more. They screen hard. They hold their screens. It’s a physical ass game, bro. It’s crazy. These WNBA girls are skilled. As a player you want to watch basketball, that’s first. But you want to actually see, okay, cool like who got bag, who do this, who do that?”
