WNBA All-Star Weekend brought Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Dallas Wings guard Paige Bueckers together on the same "WNBA Countdown" panel Saturday. But Bueckers' dull reaction to a particular moment has raised eyebrows, and it is making the rounds online now.
The two All-Star leading vote-getters joined the pregame show alongside teammates ahead of the Team Spoon vs. Team Coop showcase. During the segment, Clark was asked whether she'd hooked up any teammates with pairs of her shoe, referencing her Nike signature line, the Caitlin 1, which debuted its first colorway earlier this year and is set for wide release on Oct. 1.
Clark said she'd only had size 9 samples on hand, joking , “This is a pretty fun pair you're looking at. I think it's like Valentine's Day edition. You got the charm on there, but gonna wear some all white ones. I'm like, that's not fun enough we got to break out some fire.”
As Clark spoke, cameras caught Bueckers seated beside her, sitting quietly at her microphone and waiting to face her next question.
But since she was not laughing like the panel when Clark was joking, BrickCenter’s X handle framed Bueckers as "PISSED" during the moment. However, fans reacted with mixed feelings about it, with a handful of folks rejecting any suggestion of a rivalry between the two.

Hustle 3, in December 2024, and has said publicly she doesn't yet have a signature model of her own in the works, telling reporters ahead of the 2025 draft that "there's a lot of people in line for that who deserve it as well."
Both are former No. 1 overall picks and have drawn comparisons since their college days, with Clark at Iowa and Bueckers at UConn. While some fans viewed Bueckers' quiet reaction on Saturday's panel as a continuation of that rivalry, both continue final tune-ups before the WNBA resumes play following the All-Star break.
