Former Kansas City Chiefs defensive back Nazeeh Johnson has been suspended for six games after violating the NFL’s Performance-Enhancing Substances Policy.
Johnson, who played a key role in Kansas City's victories in Super Bowl LVII and LVIII, entered the league as a seventh-round pick of the Chiefs in the 2022 NFL Draft. A former collegiate standout with the Marshall Thundering Herd, Johnson signed a free-agent contract with the Tennessee Titans on July 27, 2026.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport broke the news of Johnson's suspension in a post to his official Twitter account on August 14, just a day after the Titans' preseason victory over the San Francisco 49ers:
#Titans DB Nazeeh Johnson is suspended for the club’s first six regular season games without pay for violating the NFL’s Performance-Enhancing Substances Policy. The suspension will begin on August 30 and he will be eligible for reinstatement on Monday, October, 19.

While Johnson is likely to be a valuable contributor to Tennessee's defense after he serves his suspension, the delay of his Titans debut may mar his time with the Nashville-based franchise.
