After some lightning interrupted the start of the session, the Dolphins had to move inside and sent fans away for safety purporses but went back out fairly quickly.
Here are the news and notes from Day 7 of Dolphins training camp from those who were on the scene for the practice.
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel's David Furones noted that tight end Greg Dulcich returned to practice in a red non-contact jersey after missing recent sessions.
The Miami Herald's Omar Kelly reported that wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr., tight end Ben Sims, offensive lineman Austin Jackson, safety Lonnie Johnson Jr. and safety Dante Trader Jr. were rehabbing.
Malik Willis tried to hit Malik Washington on a deep ball, but cornerback JuJu Brents and safety Michael Taaffe broke it up, per team reporter Travis Wingfield.
Linebacker Willie Gay intercepted undrafted rookie quarterback Mark Gronowski.
Linebacker Chop Robinson beat offensive tackle Charlie Heck on a rep and appeared to draw a hold.
Rookie linebackr Jacob Rodriguez had multiple run stops on Jaylen Wright and Ollie Gordon
Defensive back Ethan Robinson sacked Gronowski , who still threw the ball, and defensive back Louis Moore intercepted it.
First-round pick Chris Johnson made a stop on third-and-2 play, taking down Malik Washington on a hitch play.
Safety Zayne Anderson continues to flash , as he broke up a Willis pass.
Starting left tackle Patrick Paul was called for a false start. He was called for anothe r on a fourth-and-1 in a two-minute drill.
Linebacker/safety Ronnie Harrison sacked backup quarterback Quinn Ewers. Gay then forced Ewers to throw the ball away on the next play.
Riley Patterson missed a 46-yard field goal , while Gonzalez made an attempt from the same distance .
In his two-miniute drill, Ewers completed a pass to Jalen Tolbert for 45 yards. He then missed A.J. Henning on a deep shot. Wright gained eight on a run before cornerback Alex Austin knocked down a pass on third-and-2. Both Gonzalez and Patterson both missed from 55.
Gronkowski started his two-minute with a miss to Tolbert. Linebacker Trey Moore then sniffed out a screen and stopped Gordon at the line. The quarterback hit Gordon on third down to keep the drive alive before the it eventually ended with both kickers making 44-yard attempts .
