The Los Angeles Dodgers are searching for their fifth straight win on Saturday, August 22nd, against the Pittsburgh Pirates, all of a sudden after a rough start to August.
The Dodgers got a walk-off win against the Pirates on Friday to make good on a quality start from Yoshinobu Yamamoto.
Tommy Edman played hero for the clutch hit after Kyle Hurt coughed up a 4-2 lead.
Saturday’s game will be the first without Andy Pages, who is set to miss four weeks of action, and his replacement will make his debut.

Dodgers lineup vs. Pirates
1. Shohei Ohtani, DH 2. Freddie Freeman, 1B 3. Mookie Betts, SS 4. Max Muncy, 3B 5. Tommy Edman, 2B 6. Kyle Tucker, RF 7. Teoscar Hernandez 8. Alek Thomas, CF 9. Hunter Feduccia, C
Alek Thomas, who was called up earlier in the day, is making his debut for the Dodgers. The speedy outfielder presents speed and defense, while his bat has yet to be tested at the major league level after his recent minor league success.
Thomas has looked stellar as a hitter compared to how he looked before the Arizona Diamondbacks cut ties with him.
He gets the start against a right-handed pitcher, Jared Jones, who has wicked stuff. Naturally, the Dodgers are rolling out more of a lefty batting order.
It will be interesting to see how Tucker responds to his big ovation on Friday night, when Dodger fans rallied around him.
Who is pitching for the Dodgers?
The Dodgers have lefty starter Tarik Skubal pitching on Saturday, as he looks to get his win as a Dodger.
LA has won games Skubal has pitched in, but he doesn’t have a credited win yet.

As a Dodger, he hasn’t looked great, simply good, though flashes of his best show at times. This will be his second start at Dodger Stadium, and the novelty of him pitching at his new home ballpark should have worn off.
He tends to close strong and start strong, but the middle of his outings is where things tend to get tricky, and most of the damage comes.
Skubal has the chance to put together a quintessential outing and show the Dodger faithful what they are really getting with the two-time Cy Young winner.
