See the full story · 1 sourcesDan Lanning has another highly talented roster this upcoming season. Many see the quarterback as a reason for buying into the Oregon Ducks this season. Dante Moore will be a big reason for UO's success this year, but so will another Moore on offense.
In a recent article , Logan Brown analyzes two big factors for the Oregon Ducks offensive success this season. Here is what he had to say:
"While Moore is the headline at quarterback, Dakorien Moore is a game-breaking receiver for the Oregon Ducks , and the pair could work together to bring the Ducks to the promised land this season. The Moore-to-Moore connection dominated at times last season, but 2026 is an opportunity for both to take their game to another level. The 2025 season began with an elite connection between Moore and Moore. A 65-yard touchdown against Oklahoma State was their first scoring connection, and their versatility and speed downfield made them an instant threat.
"Dakorien suffered a leg injury toward the end of the season, which slowed their connection. He finished the season with 34 catches for 497 yards and four total touchdowns. Dante still had a big season throwing the football, eclipsing 3,500 yards through the air and 30 passing touchdowns. With both now fully healthy and continuing to strengthen their bond this offseason, which included a trip to Tokyo , Dante and Dakorien could plant their flag as the best duo in the nation by the end of the season."
Now that Dante Moore has his best weapon fully healthy and another season building on their connection, the two are primed for special individual seasons. If both can reach their ceiling, the Oregon Ducks offense will be unstoppable and headed for their best chance at a title.
USC's defense has to find a way to break up this connection. That begins with making Dante Moore second-guess and ultimately overthink his decisions and reads on the field. Let's see what Gary Patterson can cook up in his chalkboard kitchen.
