Former Iowa basketball forward Tavion Banks is among that group of 2022 athletes that are now eligible for a fifth season of college athletics. Banks took to social media to react. For Iowa fans hoping Banks might wind up back in Iowa City, his social media post sounds like he's looking elsewhere for his fifth and final college basketball season.
"Today's news is something I prayed for. I'm hungry & ready to get to work in my final year. Much love to Iowa, a year I won't forget! I'm excited to find the best BASKETBALL fit for my final year," Banks wrote on X.

The Kansas City, Mo., native averaged 10.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game on 52% field goal shooting, 44.2% 3-point accuracy and 79.2% shooting from the free-throw line in 37 games with 35 starts.
Banks scored 20 points on 7 of 10 shooting in the Hawkeyes' second-round NCAA Tournament win over top-seeded Florida .
