JJ Gabriel captivated viewers with an astonishing goal on his official Manchester United U21 debut.
Unlike the senior side that suffered a shocking 0-2 defeat in Hull on the opening day of the season, the young Red Devils started their Premier League 2 campaign on an enchanting note, pummelling Ipswich Town U21 by five unanswered goals at the Progress United Stadium.
The 15-year-old wonderkid has been promoted to the U21 side following a majestic campaign with Man Utd 18.

Gabriel, who has been handed the number 77 in Man Utd’s official senior squad , already featured in a friendly test for Michael Carrick’s first team, coming in as a substitute against Atletico Madrid.
While any observers are backing him to make his competitive senior debut at some point during the season, the teenager will predominantly feature for Adam Lawrence’s U21 side.
On Monday evening, Gabriel made his first official appearance with the second team as they hosted Ipswich. He was deployed as a second striker/attacking midfielder in Lawrence’s 4-2-3-1 system, playing behind Amir Ibragimov, and flanked by Tynan Thompson and Victor Musa, while the Fletcher twins operated in the double pivot.
United made short work of Ipswich, with Musa, Jack Fletcher, Jaydan Kamason and Dan Armer all getting on the scoresheet.
Nevertheless, the Reds left the best for last, with Gabriel stealing the limelight with a remarkable fifth goal.
After a series of quick passes in the middle of the park, the 15-year-old received a defence-splitting through ball from Jack Fletcher and found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
Instead of trying to dribble past the shot-stopper or find the corner, Gabriel opted for an outrageous lob, sending the ball incredibly high in the air, and it then dropped perfectly into the open net.

Since bursting into the scene, Gabriel has been confirming his immense potential with almost every appearance.
Despite competing against players who are well above his age, the young striker has been unfazed, using his out-of-the-world skills to make up for his physical deficiency.
While it remains to be seen if Carrick will give him the nod this season, the important thing for Man Utd is that Gabriel is provided with the best environment to make the most of his immeasurable talent.
