See the full story · 2 sourcesThe Atlanta Falcons are holding their breath after outside linebacker Jalon Walker sustained a knee injury during Tuesday's practice. Walker, one of the team's two first-round edge rushers selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, had to be carted off.
The Falcons have not released an official statement on Walker's injury, but it doesn't look good. According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Walker is feared to have suffered a torn ACL.
"Falcons promising edge Jalon Walker is feared to have torn his ACL, per me and Steve Wyche," Rapoport reported . "A potential brutal injury for this defense. Walker will have an MRI to confirm the injury from practice today, which drew an emotional reaction from his team."
Walker finished second among rookies with 5.5 sacks last season. Although, it sounds like the former Georgia Bulldogs sophomore campaign may be over before it began.
