But with quarterback Caleb Williams now at the helm in Chicago, the tides are starting to turn.
The Bears went 2-1 against the Packers this past season. After losing with a 28-21 score at Lambeau Field in Week 14, the Bears bounced back with a 22-16 overtime victory at Soldier Field in Week 16.
Then, Williams led Chicago to victory over the Packers with a 31-27 final score in the wild card round of the playoffs.
During an appearance with "Up & Adams" on Monday, Williams was asked if he feels the Bears are already "in the driver's seat" when it comes to this historic NFC North rivalry.
"Typically I always like to be in the driver's seat. That's how I feel about things," Williams replied. "I go into every game with the mindset that I've already won. ... That's typically always my mindset. I like to bring that energy, bring that mindset to the team. Since I've been here, we've done a good job of that.
"Bringing that mindset going into big games, bringing that mindset in games where people overlook the opponent and bringing that mindset into the games when it's the big rivalry."
The last time the Bears won three straight games against the Packers was in 2005-06. Chicago has a chance to notch its third consecutive win over Green Bay when they travel to Lambeau Field for a highly-anticipated Week 5 matchup on Oct. 11.
