Recapping Grover Stewart's 2025 season
Stewart recorded 18 quarterback pressures -- the most he's had in a single season since 2021 -- but where he makes his greatest impact is as a run defender. Out of 143 defensive tackles, Stewart ranked 14th in run defense tackles and 25th in run stops, per PFF.
That said, Stewart's presence won't always be felt on the stat sheet. But his ability to occupy space and take on blocks can clog running lanes and create opportunities for others.
Looking ahead to 2026 for Grover Stewart
Stewart will continue to play an important role up front for the Colts. Perhaps the addition of Colby Wooden can help take some of the workload off Stewart's plate, but he will be a mainstay along with DeForest Buckner. This is the final year of Stewart's current contract.
