What happened in the TNPL 2026 final?
VIDA Kovai Kings claimed the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2026 title with a commanding 84-run victory over Siechem Madurai Panthers, sealing the trophy through a dominant all-round display.
Batting first after winning the toss, Kovai Kings posted 182 for 7, built almost entirely around Andre Siddarth C. The right-hander struck 82 from 47 balls with seven fours and five sixes before being stumped in the 18th over, sharing a 108-run stand with Balasubramaniam Sachin, who made 39 from 33. P Saravanan was the pick of the Panthers bowlers with 4 for 30.
The chase never began. Madurai Panthers lost R Ram Kumar to the first ball of the innings and slid to 11 for 2 inside two overs. NS Chaturved offered brief resistance with 40 from 28 balls including three sixes, but once he fell in the ninth over the innings disintegrated.
Manimaran Siddharth returned 3 for 18 and captain Shahrukh Khan took three of his own as the Panthers were bowled out for 98 in 14.2 overs, losing their last six wickets for 17 runs.

Chepauk Super Gillies remain the most successful franchise in TNPL history with four titles to their name. After finishing runners-up in the inaugural edition, they won in 2017, 2019 and 2021 before sharing the 2022 crown with Lyca Kovai Kings when the rain-affected final was abandoned.
The Kovai franchise now sits second with three titles, having shared the 2022 honour, won outright in 2023 and added the 2026 trophy under Shahrukh Khan. Tuti Patriots, Siechem Madurai Panthers, Dindigul Dragons and iDream Tiruppur Tamizhans have each won once.
