Wrexham accused of 'blanket bombing' amid O'Hare bid

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder accused Wrexham of a "blanket bombing" approach to their search for an attacking midfielder after a bid for Callum O'Hare.
Red Dragons boss Phil Parkinson is eager to add a forward prior to Tuesday's 23:00 BST transfer deadline.
Despite saying his side have received a bid from Wrexham , Blades manager Wilder has no desire to see O'Hare to leave Bramall Lane.
"There's been a bid put in by Wrexham," Wilder said in a press conference.
"He's a good player so I'm not surprised there's been interest.
"Personally, I wouldn't want him to go, but understand that there's a bid in and it'll be dealt with by the certain people who deal with these (things)."
The bid for O'Hare, 28, is thought to be worth £6.5m.
O'Hare, now in his third season with the Blades, has featured in each of Sheffield United's five matches across all competitions.
He scored in his side's 2-2 draw with Cardiff City last time out and also netted in the Blades' 3-0 EFL Cup first round victory over Mansfield Town on 9 August.
The former Aston Villa, Carlisle United and Coventry City attacker still has two years left to run on his deal at Bramall Lane.

Wilder's subtle Wrexham digs
Wilder - a former team-mate of Parkinson's at Southampton in the 1980s - issued a dig at the Wrexham manager ahead of his side's league fixture with Cardiff.
Prior to the 2-2 draw with the Bluebirds in the Welsh capital on Saturday, Wilder spoke about Wrexham's meeting with Brian Barry-Murphy's men on the opening weekend of the 2026-27 Championship.
"I watched the game against Wrexham, I thought it was one-way traffic for 20 minutes," he said.
"The second half, I didn't agree with what the Wrexham manager said, I don't usually anyway, in terms of that it was a one-sided game.
"I thought he should give the opposition a little bit more credit and respect."

Addressing the bid received for O'Hare, Wilder accused Wrexham of a "blanket bombing" approach to the final stages of the summer transfer window.
"This is not a criticism, but I think Wrexham are in for half the division," Wilder added in his press conference ahead of his side's home Championship fixture with Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday (19:45 BST).
"They've done business, it's their prerogative and what they need to do.
"I know that there have been bids on other players from that football club in that position as well, so maybe it's a bit of blanket bombing in that position and see what comes up.
"It's not a done deal, I've notified Cal to get his head down and get his head on and (focus on) playing for us on Tuesday night.
"If that changes, then that changes. But I know they've been in for a number of players, which is what they can do at this particular point of the window, and Callum is one of them."
