After Wednesday's joint practice between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots , wide receiver AJ Brown was asked if he's spoken to Jalen Hurts since the blockbuster trade that sent him to Foxborough earlier this offseason.
Brown publicly expressed his frustration with the Eagles' offense on multiple occasions last year, and rumors swirled regarding the off-field relationship with his staring quarterback.
But after practice on Thursday, Hurts and Brown finally had the interaction that fans were waiting for. The former teammates shared an embrace and appeared to have a friendly conversation on the field.
Hurts made it clear that there's no bad blood between him and Brown after practice on Wednesday.
"Got a lot of love for him. Always have," Hurts said.
Brown reeled in 78 catches for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns through 15 regular-season games with the Eagles in 2025. Now, he takes over as the No. 1 option for rising quarterback star Drake Maye, who just led the Patriots to a Super Bowl appearance this past season.
The Eagles and Patriots will face off in a preseason matchup on Saturday.
