Just before the end of San Francisco's second practice session, rookie defensive end Romello Height suffered an injury. The rookie was carted off the field. According to NBC Sports' Matt Maiocco, the training staff was working the rookie's right leg and arms.
The severity of the injury is unclear at this point, but we'll surely get updates from the coaching staff soon.
Height joined the 49ers this offseason as a third-round pick in the 2026 NFL draft after playing for four different collegiate programs over six years. He was competing for a major role in a pass rush group that needs help after San Francisco finished with the fewest sacks in the league last year.
