Century-old Houston mansion ranks among July's priciest sales

Just south of downtown Houston, an 18-home private enclave dating to 1906 stands as one of the city's earliest gated luxury neighborhoods, decades before River Oaks became the epitome of affluent living in the city. Now, a century-old home behind its gates has changed hands after hitting the market for $4.6 million earlier this year, and it was ranked among Houston's most expensive home sales in July.
Located at 15 Courtlandt Place, the home sold on July 20, ranking as Houston's ninth-most expensive home sale last month, according to the Houston Association of Realtors. The 6,516-square-foot property was built in 1925. The final sale price was not disclosed.
