OSU signs big jersey patch sponsorship, should Notre Dame do the same?

Ohio State athletics announced a massive deal with Chase Bank to have patches on all 36 teams, which surely will make many Notre Dame fans wonder if this could be the case with their favorite team.

The Irish currently do not have a corporate sponsor for its uniforms, but after seeing that OSU is getting almost $17 million-per-year, it would make plenty of sense for athletic director Pete Bevacqua to make some calls. As a college football traditionalist, seeing non-school patches on jersey’s isn’t the most appealing, but it is a sign of the times.
