HIGHLAND PARK, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A police chase ended with a major crash into an innocent driver in Highland Park on Tuesday night.
Huntington Park police were in pursuit of a silver Ford Focus winding its way through several northeast Los Angeles neighborhoods.
That's when the suspect entered into cross traffic, t-boning an uninvolved driver at the intersection of Avenue 53 and Figueroa Street. The whole thing was captured on AIR7 video.
The officers quickly pulled the driver out of the Focus and took him into custody. The airbag was deployed in the major crash.
AIR7 video shows the driver sitting on the curb in handcuffs after the collision.
First responders were seen checking on the female driver behind the wheel of the vehicle that was t-boned. She was clearly shaken by the violent collision, but did not appear to be seriously injured.
Police did not immediately provide further details on what the driver was initially being pursued for.
