See the full story · 1 sourcesThe Jacksonville Jaguars are nearly two weeks into training camp, and during that stretch of practices, we've seen a number of players have standout performances.
But which players, who might be flying under the radar, have managed to give their stock a big boost? These three, in particular, have stood out consistently and could earn more opportunities moving forward.
OL Wyatt Milum
The second-year lineman has had plenty of opportunities with the starting offense this training camp. With Patrick Mekari not taking part in team drills, Milum has played right guard with the ones, and as of late, with Walker Little sidelined, he's had opportunities at right tackle. He certainly seems to be in the mix when it comes to earning playing time during the regular season.
"Wyatt's taking some huge steps. He looks great," said Trevor Lawrence. "Obviously, big physical guy, can move people. I think mentally he's getting it more and more every day. He's doing a good job with the offense."
DE BJ Green
While there were questions before training camp about the Jaguars ' pass rush depth, second-year edge rusher BJ Green has quieted those concerns. Against both the run and the pass, he has consistently stood out over the first two weeks of practices. With playing time up for grabs behind Josh Hines-Allen and Travon Walker, Green certainly looks like he will factor heavily into that pass rush rotation this season.
"BJ's continued to show up in both the run and the pass," Liam Coen said recently .
TE Tanner Koziol
Prior to camp starting, it wasn't exactly known where Koziol would fit into the Jaguars tight end room. Brenton Strange and Nate Boerkircher will lead the way, but also in the mix for playing time were veterans Quintin Morris and Hunter Long. But Koziol has seemingly carved out a role as the team's third tight end on the depth chart, specifically impacting the game as a pass catcher. In the early going, Koziol has seen his share of opportunities come his way, and he's often been able to capitalize. With the Jaguars possibly using more 13 personnel looks this season, that could be one way for Koziol to see the field, or perhaps as a pass-catching threat from 12 personnel.
