Earlier this week, we asked fans if Michigan athletic director Warde Manuel should step down now or at the end of the year. The results give a slight edge to Manuel staying through the end of the year.
56% of fans are in favor of Manuel staying on as athletic director the rest of the year.
Michigan released an outline of an investigation into the athletic department last Monday, the same day the Manuel news surfaced. However, Manuel won’t be reprimanded or receive any form of punishment in relation to the investigation.
NEWS: Warde Manuel will receive one lump-sum payment of $7M within 21 days of resigning, according his separation agreement obtained by @FOS . He will receive $108K in retirement funds and access to AD benefits like sports tickets. School will pay his attorneys fees ($82K).

While many will point to Michigan’s various scandals as more than enough reason to cut ties with Manuel, others will point to the successes under his watch, including football and men’s basketball national championships in the past three years.
One of Manuel’s last big actions was hiring Mike Boynton Jr. as full-time head coach earlier this month. Per FanDuel Sportsbook , Michigan has the fourth-highest odds of winning the national championship next season at +1500.
