Smartphone trends have made one thing very clear for years: users love huge phones.
Many ‘Pro’ users prefer having the largest display possible. That’s why the Pro Max model is consistently a top seller.
And iPhone Ultra, with its roughly 7.8-inch inner display , will have the largest iPhone screen yet. It will be closer to an iPad mini in size than to any other iPhone. For reference, iPhone 17 Pro Max’s display is 6.9 inches.
The combination of a huge iPhone display and a pocketable form factor should make the iPhone Ultra a very tempting option for users who favor Pro models.

iOS 27 adds landscape layouts to many popular iPhone apps, and that trend is expected to apply to third-party apps too. These layouts are available across smaller iPhones, but they will truly shine on the iPhone Ultra.
Apple is also rumored to add side-by-side multitasking as an exclusive iPhone Ultra feature. That means for the first time, users will able to run any two apps simultaneously on-screen.
Pro users tend to care a lot about getting things done on their iPhone. And with these multitasking upgrades, iPhone Ultra will instantly become the best model for productivity on the go.
