It’s no secret that Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese have an on-court rivalry, whether they want to admit it or not.
The two star players have been linked ever since they entered the league as the No. 1 and No. 7 overall picks in the WNBA draft, and finished as the Rookie of the Year and ROTY runner-up, respectively, back in 2024.
In the two-plus season they’ve been pros, there’s been several incidents between the two, and what happened in the Fever’s 95-91 overtime win on Sunday, will likely escalate their rivalry to another level.
In the waning seconds of Sunday’s contest, Reese collected a rebound off a missed 3-pointer by Dream forward Rhyne Howard and quickly tried to score on a put-back under the basket but missed.
Dream forward Naz Hillmon also missed an easy lay-up attempt, forcing the game to go to overtime.
Moments after Atlanta’s double miss, cameras caught Reese clutching her head in frustration as Clark came intro frame behind her with a smirk on her face as she laughed at what transpired.
Social media took the clip and ran with it, and Reese was getting savagely trolled by hundreds of users.
“I've watched this 22 times already and will watch it at least 5 more times! FANTASTIC!!🤣,” one fan replied.
“I saw that live and had to rewind several times and rewatch. That was hilarious 🤣,” another fan quipped.
“Ive watched it 100 times and tomorrow I'm going to watch it 100 more. 🤭🤣,” a third fan chimed in.
“Legendary meme right there,” one user joked.
“All time clip lol,” another user noted.
“The face that launched a thousand new profile pics!” another fan jested.
