The NFL analysts at Fox Sports have named Parsons the 10th best player in the NFL heading into the fresh season. Considering what he's done throughout his career, it's not hard to understand why he's still getting that kind of respect.
Parsons is expected to miss at least the first few games of the season while recovering from an ACL tear, meaning the Packers will have to wait a little longer to get their star defender back on the field. That hurts. But, it's not over.

That performance earned him Pro Bowl honors. It also continued an impressive streak for the former first-round pick. Parsons has recorded at least 12 sacks in each of his five NFL seasons.
There's a reason the Packers made Parsons such an important part of their defense, and there's a simple equation when it comes to his return. The quicker Parsons gets back to his usual form, the faster Green Bay can start looking like a serious Super Bowl contender. That's how much of a difference he can make.
