Week 2 of the 2026 Central Texas high school football season features more than 40 games involving Austin-area teams, highlighted by Lake Travis ' season opener against Weiss at The Pfield in Pflugerville. the matchup pits the No. 1 and No. 4 preseason teams in the American-Statesman's top 10 power poll. And Westlake, fresh off a 33-26 win over Inglewood, Calif., follows that big win with a home game against Euless Trinity, a longtime Texas state power.
