In a recent post on X , respected journalist Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Manchester City have identified Chelsea winger Pedro Neto as a target for this summer transfer window. It is believed that the Mancunian club are in talks to acquire the services of the Portuguese wide player this off-season.
Neto’s Impressive Form In English Football
Neto enjoyed a decent run of form at the West London club in the previous campaign when he put in a string of productive performances for them in the final third. The Portugal international found the back of the net ten times and secured ten assists in 52 matches for the Blues last season across various competitions.
The 26-year-old is currently among the most talented wide players in the Premier League. Therefore, it is no surprise that Man City are trying to get a deal over the line for him in this transfer period.
His current contract at Stamford Bridge will run out in the summer of 2031, which could make it difficult for the Mancunian club to land him on a cut-price deal this month.

What Will Neto Bring To Manchester City?
Neto has the pace to cause some headaches for his marker out on the flanks. He is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has the eye to play a few killer passes in the final third.
The Portuguese talent can even shoot the ball with venom from long range and can also contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas. Neto is primarily a right-winger but can operate as a left-sided wide player or a centre-forward if told to do so. He has enough experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Man City.
We can expect Neto to bring more firepower to Enzo Maresca’s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting place at the Etihad Stadium next season.
At 26, Neto has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for Man City to pursue in this transfer period. He will also help the Mancunian giants compete for some major honours over the next few years.
